Welcome to Original Digital Sounds (ODS) Theatrical Scores. All selections were written, arranged and produced by miQuael. We create original scores for most of our professional treatments - which is partly how the ODS concept was born... MiQuael, who is a part-time musician, played host to a west suburban sports/piano bar club on weekends. Much of his material there was his original work.

These albums reflect some of his personal stuff. Most of the pieces feature MiQuael on all instruments, vocals and backing vocals. Sammy Cezinski plays lead guitar on Hangtime, and the Luella Middle School String Section on This Too Shall Pass. This project consists of both real and digital instruments. And finally, the music wasn't meant to be taken too seriously. Most of what comes from the creative mind is exploration of the imagination. We express our thoughts and ideas through a plethora of creative means - music is just one of them. Music, like ones thoughts, is subjective. ...and a shout-out to my brothers and fellow musicians; Jay, Mikey, Petey, Sammy and Big Rich - I LOVED THAT BAR!

He’s using all his good stuff, It’s what he thinks she wants to hear – Like how he could never be the kind of man who would just, up and disappear.He’s got her full attention now, as he pours another glass of wine. He’d like to spend a little-bit-longer, trying to get-to-know-her-better, But he say’s “maybe another time.” And she smiles because she’s heard it all before. She knows that in another 20 minutes, he’ll be trying to go-up-in-it, Like so many has tried before. She’s not a hard one - she’s a smart one, so she’s headed for the door. She won’t lead him on, till his moneys gone. She’s going home alone. Because she knows the game. She says, men are all the same. She’s dealing with this ex-boyfriend, who can’t seem to get it through his head.., He was the one who said he needed some time out, but keeps on waking up in her bed. And then she found out a few weeks back – that he’s been sleepin’ with this chick from the bar. You know shit-hit-the-fan, when lover-man, left someone’s bra in the back of her car. And she smiles because she’s heard it all before. So now he’s trying to explain from the other-side of the door. He must not have noticed while he was out there crying in the rain – Her new boyfriend’s pick-up truck was in the driveway.., Because she knows the game. She knows the game.

And This Too Shall Pass is a truth piece, about adversity. What if you went to the gym with the intention of creating strength and muscle - but was put-off by the idea of doing anything strenuous or uncomfortable? Well then, you would most likely leave the gym with unfulfilled objectives, little strength and no muscles. In order to create that strength and muscle, you have to endure the discomfort of a good hard, tasking workout... Everything in life is just like that. What we have (as a society) coined bad or hard, often serves as our weight training for life. How else do we build the other strengths and muscle needed to get through life? This song is about the movie... Not the temporary highs and lows that are the commercials, but the main day-to-day struggles that are our lives... the movie. So, no matter how good (or bad) times get - try to remember that it alternates - and it is that strength and muscle which determines how good our movie is. So.., run hard and lift heavy. King David was beloved by all of his subjects - But his Visor was an arrogant sort. So he manufactured a journey for his Visor to take – This journey was a Quest for Report. He said in all of my lands I want for you to find for me, this thing that will help the kingdom grow. It makes sad people happy, and makes happy people sad. And it sounds a bit impossible I know – But I Know. On an arduous journey di the King’s servant go – with no luck in fulfilling his deed. In a small shop in the village, just before the palace gates; What the Visor saw his eyes could not believe. On the inside of an old, tarnished, golden finger-ring, like music, the words filled his head. At once he realized that he had found his journey’s end. And the inscription in the ring, he slowly read. It said: And this too, shall pass. No matter how good or bad it won’t last. And this too, shall pass. No matter how good or bad it won’t last.. Shall pass. Sometime in life we feel the world upon us. And sometimes we feel it’s more than we can bare. While some seem to have the fortune to make all of life a song, while passing through the fire without a care. But a time will come when all will change, and change will come to all.. When wealth becomes impoverished, and the impoverished will have all. And we’ll look upon our fortunes and we’ll cherish what we had. Just remember, Good or Bad, It Will Not Last. Don't Let'em is about a woman, who after taking as much as she thought she could stand from her relationship, decided to leave it. The guy in her life was not a bad guy... he was just not for her. She felt trapped and stagnant. In his insecurity, he would discourage her from any form of personal growth - believing that he would lose her if she discovered an outside world, or developed a life of her own... Well, it seems he lost her anyway. We all want the believe that we have the best. I guess the key keeping what you do have is to never stop trying to be the best.

Hang-Time was a bar in the near-west suburbs of Chicago where I played and hung out. A Special Thanks to my boy Sammy Ciesinski who played lead and solo guitar on this joint. It was such a good time, I decided to write a song about it. Wanna hear it? Here it go...

Had to make sure I had my keys and my wallet, a fresh pack of Newports and at least a-hundred dollars. Going to the club where the hoochies hoop-and-holler. And don’t forget your breath-mints because you won’t get far without’em. And everybody’s like one big happy family - but one punk-bitch who’s never-ever glad to see me.But that’s alright; he only wishes he could be me. The women turn him off like an old-fashioned TV. And speaking about the women, they got the kind I like. They either pull up in a pick-up, or the back of a bike, to get to Hangtime. It’s at the Holiday Inn, we get a regular crowd, and every week we got security saying the music’s too loud. We got the finest trashy women that you ever want to see. On a Friday or a Saturday, It’s the place you wanna be. And every now and then we get a drunk who gets rowdy. We promptly lock’em down and kick his ass up out the party. If he’s one of ours, we call a cab and send him home like a friend – So he can come back next week and do it all again. And speaking about friends, they got the kind I like, We smoke weed out in the parking lot and drink all night – up at the Hangtime. Sammy, talk to me!*Last call for alcohol.. We got Joel, Jeff and Eric takin’ charge of the bar. Collecting phone numbers – Jeff is winning so far. We got the hottest wait staff on this side of the city. Sexy flirts, in short skirts, real smart and real pretty. And Desi In some tight jeans, cutest boss you ever seen, could’a been a wet dream, but she chose to keep it clean. It’s all about the home-team - Not about the Bling-bling. And if she’s got a problem. All she do is come and see me. Don’t worry cause I get’s mine, and everybody’s color-blind – and Fuck’em if they ain’t! Now stack’em up the bar is buying.. How Can I Tell Her is a piece I wrote about a good friend of mine who was in love with a female friend of his, but was too afraid to approach her. So, he continued to play the little brother role believing that because he was young-er, she would never take him seriously. Then one day, she introduced him to her new boyfriend - who of course was even younger than he was. But in the meantime, we’re livin’ part time – so we can get our plans and dreams in the rotation. Well there’s a thin line, between work and play time.
